Hi All,
I have an 89 NG Paj with auto. Recently, the car has started to give a slight shudder when I take off. This happens if the cars aimed straight, or the wheels slightly turned, it shudders. Its got a LSD but the oil was last cxd 70k back.
Would appreciate any thoughts on the matter.

I would get the auto box serviced. I had a problem with ain intermittent shudder in my Patrol when in top gear. All things pointed to the torque converter clutch.

When did someone last take the sump off the auto and check/ replace the filter.
I ended up having the gearbox rebuilt as the mech. said that there was some other bits starting to so signs of wear(200000KM) so I thought it was better to get it done at the one time.

A mate has a 92 3.5l auto and it started to shubber mainly in reverse
When we dropped the auto pan it was full of silt.....
Had to change the filter ( a gauze one, only four bolts) and refill
it fixed the problem but I warned him to run it for a day and then change fluid again due to the fluid left in the torque converter (he didn't) car ran well for 3more months then stopped. $2500 later and its as good as new.

I hope this helps
