Has anyone replaced their 3 litre diesel with an old intercooled turbo 4.2 litre engine and could this be done?

Thank you

Maybe consider a TOYOTA 1HDFTE, good strong motor. It has been done by a member before. TOYOTA....NISSAN he called it "TONI" do a search on TONI that should find it, a great read.

Shouldn't be too difficult to effect the heart transplant but a word of caution.....depending on the year of manufacture of your 3ltr Y61 you may NOT be able to retro fit with the outdated and dirty 4.2 donk and get the vehicle registered as it won't meet emission standards. I'm thinking that you should be OK up to 2006 when the last of the 4.2 engines were used in the Y61.
