hi all,
can i get some
feedback on both the island conditions at the present time and also some suggestions on where to
camp once there. we have a mix of campers with trailers just 4wd and offroad 16ft vans. seems hard to get any up to date information so any advice would be great.

Michael
Have a read of this thread on Ausfish -
Boat To Fraser
This guy just got a 7m big boat to Waddy - was an adventure, but doable with the right gear, advice and plan - many rocks exposed, but bypass tracks passable with this giant rig
He mentions he had no issues coming
home and that each had improved a little
Cheers
A

we used to take a mix of onroad (yes onroad not offroad) caravans up to about Dundaburra and
camp on the beach when ever we went. the beach is forever changing daily so i can't see why anywhere along the Eastern beach between
Eurong and Dundaburra wouldn't be doable. there was a few times we had to slowly drag the vans over rocks along the way, but taking it easy had us over the rocks fairly quickly and us continuing on up the beach.
basically we'd just drive until we found a spot that suited the size of the group we had along at the time, so long as it's not
Easter, Xmas / New Years or the like, finding a spot shouldn't be that hard to do.
