Comment: The Tanami Track

We did the Tanami late last year in Sept and did it on our own from Halls Creek to Alice Spring with out any problems just make sure you have plenty of fuel as Rabbit Flat is closed plenty of places to camp of the road , If you require any more info just ask.

Yes we did tow that van across, it is a Trakmaster fully off road van and we did not have any problems, although my wife considered it rather rough in places. We only stopped 1 night off road and you can get phone service near the mine which was a nice surprise....

Hi Andrew,

I'm going to head from Mackay probably on the 17th of August. I should be in Boulia a couple of days later. I haven't put holidays as yet. I got a ute with a canopy and tent. If you got a date to be in Boulia and don't mine some company to travel with let me know and I'll put in holidays to suit.
