Has anyone travelled the Wiso Road -
Tennant Creek to Lajamanu then on to Kalkarindji- recently.........any problems with getting a permit and what are the road conditions like.

If this is the track that takes off to the west of
Tennant Creek I'd be looking for an alternative to get to Lajamanu. This at best can be described as sometimes a mark on the ground not a track!
3 years ago i saw 3 vehicles come in from that direction. They were scratched to the ....house and yellow in colour from bush bashing through the scrub. Tyres were like a porcupine with all the plugs hanging out.
From Lajamanu to Kalkarindji no problems.

That sounds like an interesting track Les.
Central Land Council are the mob that look after that area, so you should be able to get info from
