Hi
Has anybody had troubles with Nissan 2000 Gu Wagon ZD30 Auto select lever sticking in the park position.I can release it by pressing the select lever lock but it does not fix the problem. When you go from Park to Drive and back to Park it locks up again. If I cannot fix the problem myself I may have to take it to someone in my local area to have it checked out. Thanks for any suggestions.
Bill

Tried that a few times and relalised that was not the problem but worked it out and works fine now. Thanks.

My 2001 GU does this too.
No rhyme nor reason: will stick regularly and then not do it again for weeks. This has been happening for more than 2 years. Touch wood it isn't serious.
When I have saved up enough pennies I will go to a Nissan dealer for a service (maybe Wayne Swan will borrow some more money and give us all a hand out,ho ho) and ask them. In the meantime I will continue getting the GU serviced by good bush mechanics in the little towns I pass through.

G/day Peter
I will be taking the Gu for a 600 k run this Saturday so I will give it a workout along the way to see if it is a repeat problem and if it is I will get it sorted out If you get something done to your Gu I would be interested to know how the problem was fixed and I will do likewise if mine bails up.Thanks Pete and cheers.
