The road to Mitchell Falls.

Ive noticed on the WA government roads website says the GRR is open. The East Kimberley Shire website is 3 weeks old.
Does anyone know how long before the road to Mitchell falls will be open?
I know Annie from Drysdale River Station looks on here so Annie if your reading this, any ideas?

No worries.

It's well written and explains why it takes a while to get the road open.

It's a big road and a long way from GRR to Mitchell Falls, without even taking the road to Kalumburu into account.

Hoo roo.

Ive been up there many times in the past. But i thought the wet this year was not very big. The WA main roads sites saying the Pentecost River is 600mm deep and the Durack is only 400mm deep thats not very deep for this early in the season. I was just hoping to get up to KER and the Falls before the rush.

Fair enough, that'd be the go.

If you're going up there anyway you might poke around and check it out.

Maybe contact Kalumburu, or the Mitchell Falls Rangers. They'd have a fair idea what's happening and might have more time than Drysdale.

So far this year Kalumburu has just over 700mm of rain, so it could be wetter up there.

Hoo roo,
