Hi all, I would like to fit an oil pressure gauge to my 2004 Rodeo, 3.5L petrol 4x4. I like to know whats going on under the hood. Is it possible to wire an electronic version in rather than the older pressure pipe from the sender to gauge type?

Yes. Electrical transmitter/gauges are readily available from motor accessory stores.
