I am new to this forum. I was wanting some advise on where to get a VAST satellite TV kit from. I've done some research on this system and have seen they are the best to use to get the best reception for our TV in our caravan. We are planning to travel the east coast. Prices for this system vary some. Has anyone bought a system like this and who did they go through to purchase it.

2nd Satplus. They also have a store front in the Melbourne suburb of Edithvale.

Dean

If you are in WA I would probably look at Access Antenna's for a local provider.

Note there is now a 12V DVR twin tuner version of the VAST box and not just the 240V non-DVR version as before. They also have various Sat Finder options that may make it easier for set up.

I have not yet purchased their Kit so cannot speak from personal experience but from the research I have done so far I would be buying from them. Certainly would be curious to hear of any first hand experiences on this ....

A footnote on this also from what I know.

There is (or at least was when I last looked) an East and a West zone that you select when you register the service - but you can apparently ring and change the zone when / if you need to when you are on the move.

I am told here in WA dual tuner Vast unit will be available first week of May. When you sign up as a 'traveller' you only get 6 months access at a time, but easy enough to re-new. Each card you get with the unit is coded to that unit only, to stop pirating etc.

Only system there is going to be by middle of the year is the digital Vast system, and unfortunately only one authorised manufacturer so far.

G'day all, Satplus has been mentioned previously. They are advertising a HUMAX VAST receiver with various options as well as the UEC box also in various formats.

Frank, yes see that. Nice to have a choice, not cheap, but I don't expect the uec to be either. Both include a 500gb hard drive, but the uec specs are showing as 12v which is good.
