ctek mxs25 charger & engel shx1000 generator

gday i have a engel shx1000 generator with a output of 900 watts.i would like to buy the mxs25 ctek charger.will my generator run this charger.does any one run this combo.how many watts does the 25amp charger draw.im hoping to run 2 x 45ltr engel fridges + the charger when there isnt enough sun for my solar panels and the batteries are low. any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks in advance.

this will help. It draws 2.9 amps or 700 watts at max charge.

thanks rockape.i spoke with a ctek dealer and was told that my generator needs to be pure shine wave but the engel generator is a modified square wave or digi wave.i told the cteck guy that i have run a ctek 7 amp with no troubles.he told me that the 25 amp may work.can someone help me out with info about the differance between pure shine wave and modified square wave.or do i need to buy a differant 25 amp charger.thanks

funny I just got off the phone from a mate of mine that has come up to run in the the Qld mud trails at Sarina. He was just saying he had a Honda copy chinese inverter genset that has around 500 hours on it. Only problem he has had is the fuel line perished and he bypassed the eco setting on the generator. He did say it was more noisy than a Honda,but 30 metres of lead fixed that.

I will be going down to Sarina tomorrow for a couple of cool drinks with him and I will ask what it is and get back to you. He was running it when I was speaking to him and said they were still on ebay 18 months ago.

This might be a fix for your problem if the ctek is likely to be damaged by your square wave genny.
