Just enquiring for any recommendation for an air Conditioner specialist in Darwin. My air conditioner has been leaking gas and is now totally unusable. Toyota dealer has not been successful after three attempts. Am in Coober Pedy and expect to be in Darwin around 5th June passing alice in two weeks time. Would appreciate any referrals to a good car air conditioner specialist in Darwin. Many thanks.

Hi. I can't advise on a specific specialist but quite a lot of smaller repair shops and Auto Elecricians do this type of work. If you have a look on the ARCTICK website there will be licenced people listed near to where you want. Go down to "find an authorised orginisation"
Ask the repairer if your system has had UV dye added to it. It make it a lot easier to find an external leak as the dye shows under a UV light. Cheers,Bob.

I have used these guys for many years on various vehicles and have always been happy with their service.

A & C Automotive Electrics
Unit 1 6 Travers St, Coconut Grove NT 0810, Australia
(08) 8948 1244

There are some I definitely would not go to, but I have not seen them mentioned yet, so I will be nice and not say there names.

Cheers Tony,

MMM, with a bent rear door on getting my car back, (just found out where it was backed into something reciently) on top of the work quoted on not being fully done............
Chris knows his stuff, but I think he uder quoted the job for me and therefor didn't complete it as was dicussed and given to him in writting. Disapointing. I just wished i had seen the dent on the inside of the rear door at the time. I knew all wasn't well when i went to close the rear door, no go unless SLAMMED. As the only owner of the vehicle I know it well. I did mention it to him but guess it was done by one of the staff who never said anything.

regards

Lyndon

Paul's Service Centre, in Winnellie. They have a cult following in Darwin, always booked out and reasonable prices. Have recommended friends there for aircon problems and have been satisfied. No affiliation.

Thanks for the tip. I rang Paul's service centre but they recommend Top North Auto Air in Sweet Street, Winnelie - apparently Paul's service centre don't do air con repairs. Have anyone heard of Top North Auto Air and whether the quality is ok? Many thanks.
