Hi Everyone,
As part of a Melbourne to Cape York and back trip in July-August i am Looking at going from Innamincka to Camerons Corner (via Moomba) in early August, just wondering what the road is like and if it can be done in a day with camper trailer?

We did it a couple of years ago with friends towing a jayco camper. Easily done in a day, Travelling from Cullymurra Waterhole to Fort Grey Campground in Sturt National Park.

We just came back from out there we travelled from Cameron's corner to Innamincka via Omicron and Epsilon and then on to the old Strzelecki Track all really good tracks did it in under half a day. Just watch out for sign posts not many out there.

Hi.
We did Tib to Innamincka via Moomba easily in a day during Easter this year. The only issue is the corrugations from Moomba to Innamincka. How robust is your campertrailer? We were not towing but were down to walking speed in our Pajero several times particularly during the last 60 km into Innamincka. Other than this section, there should be no dramas with a trailer.

Your still two to three months away, road conditions can change very quickly so it may be better to ask this question just before leaving.

When we are planning a trip across areas where conditions can change we always have 2 other routes planned just in case.

In good conditions yes it can be done in one day depending on your skills, vehicle and trailer BUT get some rain and it can change the whole scenario.

We have been caught out before thinking we can go one way only to find out they had 50mm of rain further up making the track impassable.

We went from the Dig Tree to Cameron Corner last year and it was raining. Easily done in a day, but it was very slippery in places. We towed a Tough Country camper trailer. Loved every kilometre.
