Good morning everyone,
My trusty old fridge has finally died and I want to replace it with an Engel 40L. Any suggestions about good deals in the
Brisbane area?

Have a look at ebay. I just searched for "engel fridge 40" and got a few. Some in the
Brisbane area as well.
Shops also sell through ebay and the warranty is still valid. There are bundles of second hand 40 litre ones as well.

I had a recent good experience with purchasing a new 40 ltr from this crowd and was pleased all round.

There is also an Australian made fridge built in your area by EvaKool.
I believe the insulation on these is far superior to anything else on the market and results in less power used.

The plastic Engel 40L (38L I think) can be had for $699 on sale. If you want the proper 40L steel Engel then you can wait for sales at Rays Outdoors or Anaconda perhaps (or maybe BCF but sales not so common).
Otherwise Tentworld seem to have discounts on the Engels.

Keith B (QLD) Next month Engel usually run their annual special deals. Last year it included $500 worth of other goods with their larger engels. May be worth the wait of three weeks.

Ended up buying a new Engel from Olbis. Good deal but the salesperson didn't know about any deals until I mentioned that Engel were running a special at the moment. So I got a good selling price PLUS all the Engel give-aways. I found that out after you guys had prompted me to dig into the opportunities. Other brands were tempting but couldn't find any locally convenient suppliers.
