Ive just completed full OME suspension system upgrade on my FJ40, however when offroad i get massive body contact from my 33's. Im assuming the best option is for a body lift, and i am keen to do it myself to save some $$$! However im concerned about the steering column issues. COOPS said to contact him if anyone were to attempt this, or if anyone has any suggestions i would be greatful!

You didnt mention the width of the 33 in tyres but from what Ive read on other sites you will have to trim the fenders assuming thats where the rub is.

theyre 33x12.5, i have already cut the rear wheel arches, but there is contact on all four corners depending on wheel articulation...

Cut more of the guard off, easiest way to go, good COG.
33" fit on stock suspension with trimming.

sorry all, may have given wrong impression. I am going to do a body lift, and was wondering if anyone had tips on how to overcome steering linkage problems...
