Just saw the news about this and think we spotted an ExplorOz wheel cover on the family's camper trailer. Do we know who they are?

I've seen found this report but the name doesn't ring a bell with me. Can anyone confirm if they also saw the wheel cover?

I just watched the grab on Sky News and didn't see a wheel cover.

Very sad situation.

I guess it highlights the risk of both parents engaged in activities at the same time that could go wrong! Something to think about! Michael

@ Michael, you are so right, it does but, isn't that what we all do though, how often do/did we go out while the kids were at school, things like shopping even, there are lots of things couples do together and leave their kids with babysitters rellies etc, not just holidaying activities, anything can happen at any time....... oh for a crystal ball. Such a terrible accident and a devestating situation for the kids, to be there at the scene makes it so much worse for them, so tragic for them at such tender ages. My heart goes out to them and their families left behind.....
@ Razerback, I heard about this last night and have been wondering the same thing.
Cheers

Terrible news.

Most probably a rip or something took them by surprise.

At 46 I'm a lot more careful how and where I swim these days for fear of getting caught in rips, not as fit as a teen anymore.

I've read the lady's blog & website now - so sad. I can't see any reference to them being members but of course it doesn't make any difference to our feelings of sorrow over this terrible event. My heart aches for those kids. I'm interested to hear what actually happened.

Sorry Michelle, can't use the `thanks' button as it just doesn't fit. I `agree' with you, and think members or not, as fellow travellers, our thoughts................

I would also like to know what happened, such a tragedy. I read her blog as well and saw the pics of the children, my heart just ached for them.

Hi all, I've been following this story and as I first suspected she must have been stung, this is what they are now saying - News link - Irukandji reports have been issued for the area over the past month. I'd been taking note of this as we live in the water when we're there, and we're headed that way in July (although they would not be likely to be still around at that time of year). It is considered unusual for the irukandji to have come that far south. Our oceans are indeed changing - just take note and be safe everyone.
