Just a bit of
feedback for anyone interested. As I mentioned in previous posts I upgraded my radiator in my Patrol to a PWR item (thanks for the original info Roachie) The new Rad installed easily with the original shroud and sensors and no problems what so ever. I spent the weekend a
Stockton beach climbing some huge dunes. The outside temp was warm and the Patrol worked real hard with no problems with the aircond cutting out. This was my first time on real sand other than a few river beds and what an experience!! Had the most fun I've had in a long time but sand driving on dunes is also pretty hazardous. It was great to be able to have the experience of climbing the dunes and then being able to park and let the family jump out and have a swim. I will most definately be going back to
Stockton Beach again.

G'day Goldfinder,
Glad to hear you've had success with the new rad.
I've put my new viscous hub in but she still got a bit warm on Sunday coming up a smallish
hill with the camper trailer on.
Looks like I might have to call PWR back myself.
Cheers,
Roachie

You still didn't mention what the temp gauge got up to.

The temp gauge moved to the point where the thermostat opens and stayed there. From memory I think it's about a quarter or just over. The main
test for the new rad will be in May when I will be towing the van to NW NSW which still is quite hot at that time of year. My main problem as I mentioned in earlier posts has been while towing in high temp areas(usually around 38c or higher)the air con cuts out. The workout at
Stockton Beach was pretty hard going with a lot of loading on the motor so I am confident that the problem should be cured but time will tell. Over the dunes the gauge didn't budge. Hit the thermostat opening point and stayed there.

BTW PWR were great to deal with. Made a direct deposit into their account and the rad was sent to my address extremely
well packaged.
$1100.00 is still a lot of money!!
