Planning a trip to explore the two peninsulas for a few weeks, then across to Kangaroo Island for a few days followed by a week exploring the Coorong. Going to do some fishing can't take the boat because we are one car out and taking the camper. Don't really want to get a tinnie just for a 6 week trip so it will be beach, rock and jetty fishing. Any must see places? Keen to park and spend a few nights at one place before moving on so any suggestions for a hub while we explore.

Got a Izuzu 4WD so off road is on the books.

Coffin Bay National Park, Lincoln National Park and Whaler's way down the southern tip of Eyre peninsula if you like spectacular coastline to the extreme. Unmissable.

You'll have to book and I think there is a four (or three) night limit, but Memory Cove in Lincoln National Park is a beautiful spot, and only four sites (you get a key for access).

As mentioned, Coffin Bay is gorgeous (take a bottle of good sparkling wine, grab some fresh oysters in town before heading in. Eat & drink overlooking the bay. Doesn't get much better!)

Loads of fantastic places and great fishing over there. Have a ball.

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Coldee

You will be visiting some great places here in South Australia. My only suggestion is that you allow more time over on Kangaroo Island, as there is far more to see than you would think.

To give you some idea of what you can expect to see on the Yorke Peninsula and over on Kangaroo Island, here are some of my Blogs about the areas.

October on Kangaroo Island

Shackle Road Drive - Kangaroo Island

March on Kangaroo Island

Yorke Peninsula and Innes National Park

Moonta

Have a Great Time and Looking Forward to hearing what you thinks about you time in South Australia.

Cheers

Stephen

We spent two weeks on the Eyre Peninsula last year. Camped at Fitzgerald Bay North of Whyalla, Fishermans Beach in Lincoln National Park, and Yangie Bay in Coffin Bay National Park. For Photos go to here
