Hello All.
There is a number of us tossing up the Idea of doing the Madigan Line in about 12 months time. I would be interested to here from any one who has do this trip in the last 12 months. Any information that may help decide whether to start planning or change destination would be of assistance.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Vern

I have been up there for last 2 years , going different ways , the hardest parts are past camp 17 to camp 20 and also at the start.

Many now take the easier path up the hay rather than camp 17 way.

There is a new approved way at the start now which is a lot easier from Mac Clarke to the Colson as discussed in some posts on this site from about 10 days ago by another group going up in a few weeks.

If you have any specific questions please ask.

We're heading off to do it next week. I'm expecting it to be slow and hard going, but if we take it easy should be okay, but are prepared to be able to fix stuff, including weld if we have to.

We're also taking lots of tyre repair equipment. One thing I did find out in preparing for this trip is that apparently you can't get tubes for 17" tyres.

Take 235/85/16 tubes Andoland they will do the job for your 17's and almost all 16's as well - sort of universal fit.

Not all places have them - I got mine thru Beaurepairs order.

Thanks for the tip Robin, I'll chase them up. I presume it takes a bit of effort to get them over the lip of a 17" rim?
