I have been trying to contact Robin at Marilinga since mid May to organise a trip we are doing in the area in the first week of July.

I have left several phone messages, and emails and now the phone messagebank is full.

Does anyone (Steve?) know how to contact Robin to arrange this, we are only about 4 weeks away now and I am worried about it.

Hi Tony,
Stephen is up the Birdsville track again, so may or may not be online.

But, are you using the new contact number for Maralinga - details were posted Here in February.

Failing that, I'd suggest you phone and ask the Maralinga Tjarutja Office in Ceduna:

Cheers

Spoke with Robin about 3 weeks ago, was planning to visit mid August but he will be away when we were planning of being there, he took about a week to return my calls and email due to reception and net issues he was having upmthere and had to wait until he went to Ceduna to call me

Hi Dean

You have me to blame for that, as Robin will be away with me and my little group. He will be having family members managing Maralinga while he is away, so they maybe able to look after you.

Cheers

Apparently the phone and net connections have been broken at Maralinga for some time, working intermittently now.

No, why would you use common sense! Better to ask on the forum then send a member message to the very person you wanted to contact.

Sheesh!

Hi Boobook

We are away at the moment, and do not have Robin's 2 phone numbers with me, but will post another reply in a couple of days when we are home. Robins very hard to get hold of, but given time, he will get back to you, just be patient.

Like Phil said above, give the Ceduna office a call, and they should. Be able to help out.

I will get back to you soon.

Cheers

Hi Boobook

Wait until you meet him in person, what he does not know about the area is not worth knowing, and he is the most unreal person to meet.

Make sure you give him my best regards.

You will have a fantastic trip and my only advise, do the 2 day range tour, as there is so much to see.

Enjoy your trip.

Cheers

Thanks Stephen, he already gave me some hands on tips about a few things that will help planning our trip greatly in some other nearby areas.
