I am heading out from Dalhousie and just zig zagging down from the French line to the Rig road and then back up again before the Birdsville road...Everyone has there preferred route... French Line is the busiest which is like the main road through... I prefer to go down a couple of roads to clear the traffic a bit...
A camper is very frowned upon,,,, lookup some past posts on campers through the simpson......___________________________________

Camper Trailers are only frowned upon mainly because the National Parks people have to remove the obandoned ones, and they are blamed for chopping up the dunes, which depends on the driver much the same as if you arnt towing, some dont let there tyres down etc.

West to East due to steepness of dunes on eastern side.

Hiya Willem... I would have been sipping moonshine with you before now but i had been suffing from a collapsed lung on and off for the last 6months and it had been hard to know when was a good time to be away from services.... Anyway three weeks ago it collapsed totally and it was a rush operation at the RAH but then that didnt work so they sent me to the Calvery Hospital for a 2nd operation... "talc pleurodesis" and i am now recovering slowly... To cut an enormous story short................... i am hoping to be going past your front door on the way to our favourite haunt in April.....
And my fingers are crossed for full recovery by the time of my big trip....

Regards Voxson.___________________________________

Sorry to hear about your illness, Voxson. Hope you make a full recovery soon. I should be home all of April as we are in charge of the Peterborough Art Prize Exhibition which runs from 3 to 12 April. Hope to be heading north into the Flinders at the end of April and then up to Coongie and maybe Birdsville and a few side tracks into the desert.

Cheers,
