Hello Everyone, I would like to carry a small flat bottom boat on my X Trail. What roof rack would you recommend? Auto
barn have a Rhino Rack brand 2500 series Aero roof rack for $259.00. Any advice would be really great.

Hi Johno,
I can't give you an answer to your question on what type of roof rack to buy to carry your boat, sorry 'bout that.
However, you will need to confirm the maximum weight that the roof can support, I believe that it is only 100 kg on the X-trail, although there may be variations in the various models. This is only the static weight limit and while the bars may support a load with ease ............ what forces are in play when driving down the highway, that may exert far greater pressure on the load, the carry bars and the roof. Points to consider.
