We stayed there 31May with an offroad van. Fully grassed park area. Set up anywhere you like. No power and bore water.
When we went through the road surface was excellent until you get to Harts Range. It was badly corrugated from there until the start of the bitumen. I give no condition guarantees for when you go through.

We also travelled this road on the 25th June and agree with Strechlizard on road condition.Fuel at Tobermorey was $2.34/ltr. Enjoyed the station and Gemtree at the other end
Did see a few vans totally smashed underneath from high speed and corrugations.
Enjoy the ride

Good morning from Thailand

Were the damaged vans outback type or Melbourne to Cairns cruisers?

Cheers

G'day

Black tarmac cruisers , might of handled it with aired down tyres and a bit less haste but when I asked I was told they didn't think they needed to.

Cheers.
