Just wondering if anyone knows if 285/75R17 tyres will fit inside the guards on a 2005 ST Patrol Wagon with standard suspension. The 8"x17" alloy rims are no problem but am not sure about clearance when on full lock and throughout suspension travel. They are only 40mm bigger in diameter than the standard 275/65R17 tyres so I only need an extra 20mm clearance. Visually it appears there is enough clearance but if someone has already tried them then I will know for sure. Thanks in anticipation.

They won't fit - never heard of that size so they must be a specialist tyre (34 inch).

Your standard 33's (285 75 16 ) or (285 70 17's) rub a bit but can fit with a little tinkering.

Usually hit first on front mudflaps - can stop this moving front of mudflap to behind where they screw to car bracket - with a little cutting.

2in lift is then enough for 33's.
