Review: Bilung Pool

Bilung Pool is a lovely spot to spot over for a cuppa break, or a campsite right beside the water. A permanent waterhole, there are big river gums and a little waterfall after rain. Access the billabong level campsite from the north side of Bilung Creek crossing over the Carnarvon to Mullewa Road. The picnic area complete with seat and if I recall a fire ring, is accessed from just south of the Bilung Creek crossing. The picnic area is on the plain, so exposed to any wind. The billabong is more protected. Care must be taken to get into the billabong, the sand may be soft - you'll be driving on river sand. Take your waste with you - this is a watering hole.
