It is unclear to me if the Telstra T96 mobile phone can be used as a broadband wireless modem. Advice from owners would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Glenn

Hi Glenn,
I think it can. Look at P36 and onwards in the user manual available
here. You'll have to download the connection suite that suits your computer from the same page.
Cheers

If it is the same as the T82, go into settings and find where you turn on the 'Portable WiFi Hotspot'. It may also have a selection for the time it stays 'on'. It uses your phone data allowance but data packs are available. I find it pretty fast, using it now.

The T82 is a smart phone using a totally different platform and uses the Android 4.0 operation system..... the T92 uses a propitiatory operating system and is not a smart phone.

From memory you can not use it as a modem, it's just a basic phone aimed at the lower end of the market.

You can use either the USB cable or Bluetooth. The T96 has no WIFI capability.
PC Connection
USB for Join Me and modem functions.
Use Bluetooth for Dial up
networking over
Bluetooth Menu > Settings >Connections > PC connect

Thats good.
Dean should be able to sort things out for you.
By the way the manual
T96 MANUAL sets out that using the programme "Join Me" you can access the internet.
I think Join me is on the installation disc . Once installed phone is connected to your laptop via USB cable.
It might also be necessary to get a "Browser Pack" from Telstra
Data Packs from Telstra to give you access to additional data .
I don't have a T96 however, my old F165 used Join Me and is another phone in the ZTE stable
