Hi,
The door handle on the rear door snapped off when I tried to open the door when it was locked. I have since learned this was a common problem with this car. Is it a simple fix with a new part and how much does it cost. Did Susuki fix the problem with the handle.?

Hell the door handles of ford falcons where known to break.
The issue was so common the most taxi managers had a handfull in their bottom draw.

The issue remained for at least 4 models without being rectified...possibly still exists..I don't own or drive a falcon any more.

There was an after market handle that did not break and was half the price of the ford replacement part.

lets hope Suziki can do better.

cheers

I have a 2002 GV and my rear door handle has broken twice. The first replacement was an ebay cheapie which last about 2 years. The second replacement was the "unbreakable" one off ebay. Note that the "unbreakable" handle is only the "handle" part, not the "frame", i.e. the part that is bolted to the door.

So far after a few years the handle has not broken. I think I paid around $50 for it.
