Do you have to hand over fruit and veg when going I to NT from WA?

yes you do, and there are signs and a bin, but there is no one there checking, unlike the other way.

When we came down the Tanami last year I can't recall there being anything and no one checking.
But I guess one does need to do the right thing though

You only have to hand over fruit and veg when entering WA from NT, Not from WA to NT

I don't think that is quite right.........It depends on the area your travelling into and what type of produce.
Eg. Ti Tree is a fruit fly free zone. So I wouldn't like to bring anything across the Tanami......
And I think you need a permit or certification of where it come from in a lot of cases.

Just went from NT to WA last week they where there checking everyone and right through vehicles and vans had to throw out most things, take your reg No and how many people on board.
