I have installed Outback roller draws system to my 2012 GX model and now wish to fit a half cargo barrier with rear rack and divider.
What I need to know before pulling the rear hood lining out, does anyone know if there are lugs or bolt holes under the lining similar to the GXL/VX as they have the grab handles to bolt into.
Thanks for any replies

Why not wait and get the cargo barrier first before pulling unnecessary stuff out.

Grab handle mounts are not rated or strong enough for anchoring cargo barriers.

Most cargo barriers are designed for easy installation of the fitting kit.

An excellent idea. Wait.

From memory there are straps as mentioned below. We were after one for our 100 that could be mounted at the rear of the second row of seats as you are doing or when we install the Outback bed extension we could then move it forward to the rear of the front seats. Couldn't find one though.

Lin,

I also have a GX though with an ORS drawer system and water tank. Late last year, I had ORS also fit a half barrier.

I did not watch the actual instal however it appears that the barrier is held in place at the bottom by bolts through the wheel arches and at the top by metal 'straps' attached from the top of the barrier back to the roof near the back doors.

I trust this helps, if I can offer any more info, let me know.

Peter.

Cookie1,

Would love to post pics but unfortunately I am laid up at the moment with a fractured ankle (3 weeks to go).

I will post pics as soon as I can get out to the cruiser.

Peter.
