That number is registered to an Estelle Walker....must be his partner.

Good to hear the forum worked and your fridge is up and running again.

Mazcan....I pay a few bucks as a subscription to access a reverse phone book. Something that is quite handy if you need this for work.

Hi Ian and Nola. What repair did you have done. Waecos have a generic problem with there thermistors. Most of there fridges will need the thermistor replaced at some time usually within the first 5 years. There are lots of posts on this forum on the subject. If this was the repair you had done could you lets us know what the cost was. For anyone contemplating a fridge purchase i can recommend trailblazers made by norcoast refridgeration. If in the unlikely event something goes wrong with one most likely you can fix it yourself. Mine is around 20 years old now and the only part replaced was the thermostat which i replaced myself. Even without a thermostat the fridge is still usable by turning off and on the fast freeze switch something you cant do with a waeco. The fast freeze switch bypasses the thermostat.
Cheers Graeme.

Hi Graeme, yes it was the thermistor, cost $142, trouble was mine was running all the time. I use it as a beer fridge when not out and about (been pretty much constant use for 4 of the 8 years or so we have had it) so I was really sad when I opened it up and half a carton had frozen, popped their corks and smashed the bottles. still all good now.
Thanks for the tip, and the recommendation.

I know "Macca" very well and can recommend him too. He is a registered Waeco service agent and also a mad keen 4WDriver, has a well setup Jeep. He is also the Chairman of the WC4X4 club and has been for many years and will certainly look after any 4WDriver or camper :)

Cheers

Captain
