Hi ALL
Has anyone purchased the 120W portable solar kit from Jaycar ? The portable kit retails at $499, seems ok however wanted to know how effective it is ie: efficiency ?
Again all this stuff looks great on paper but how robust is the think in the wild ?
Cheers..Pete

I have a 140 watt folding panel from "ozplaza" via ebay at $195 and it is very good. The clips that hold it shut are a bit iffy but easy fixed. No doubt it will be even better with an MPPT controller and slightly heavier cables. I will put an Anderson plug on the end and fit one at the front of the 80 series to charge the battery.

How heavy are the panels ? Jaycar ones were 13kg, gather it would be about the same ?
