We have recently moved to Caloundra Qld. and are looking for weekend camping spots within 2 - 3 hours drive. We have a suitably equipped 4wd and like getting away from it all so the less people the better. Prefer areas where you can swim, canoe and just relax with a cold beer and a book. Appreciate your suggestions/
feedback.

If you have a iPhone or Andriod Device take a look at WikiCamps.
Well worth the $5 fee. The App has a few choices, but not being local it is a bit hard to work out if they are good up yot way.
