Has anyone been along the Sandover Highway recently and can tell me what condition it is in?

Salty,
If you haven't done so already, do a search for "Sandover Highway" on here.
I just got at least a dozen threads, but all "old news",
well about 2 years old.
We came up there 2 years ago, and found it good, except for some corro's near Arlparra Store/Community. Would need a day & half to do it, if you weren't in a hurry.
We thought the road surface was better than the Plenty, but the scenery is not up to the Plenty. Don't go that way if it looks like rain.
Bob.

We travelled it recently East-West and it was in excellent condition. Speaking with other travellers it would appear it was in better shape than the Plenty.
Unless you're in an all fired hurry you still need to allow for an over nighter. The best spots seemed to be near the base of one the various microwave repeater towers. Limited firewood about but some available.
