Can any one suggest a good IPad holder /Mount to stick on windscreen or dash as I have brought a cheap one but its not very secure and stable ,the last thing I want is the IPad falling off the windscreen on a rough Track ,any pic's of your holder would be great thanks.GREENDOG

Greendog,

I use the SeaSucker mount (http://www.seasucker.com/shop/naked-flex-mount-w-travel-case/#tab-description) with a Samsung Galaxy Note (similar to iPad) and have found it excellent.

I mount it to the dash.

Peter.

I'll second the seasucker. Can bend it to suit, and incredibly secure. Helps absorb vibration.
Works very well on corrugations.

Hi Peter

When you say that you "mount it to the dash" is that to a very smooth metal or plastic surface or a typical vinyl covered surface?

I would like something to hold a very small VHF radio on it but even the sticky velcro wont stick to the vinyl surface on our 100 series GXL dash.

Hi Greendog

I've never really had much success with suction mounts on windscreens for "heavy" things like iPads....we got on of these, at least it has nowhere to fall...

Postage was pretty quick too.

Cheers

Chris

We have a RAM mount that bolts to the passenger seat rail and its great. We used it on our outback trip last year which included the Simpson Desert and was great and secure.

This is like ours sorry dont have a picture of ours atm.
