I have Desert Dueler 604v tyres on my vehicle and was looking to buy a new pair.
When I enquired with Bridgestone I was told they no longer do the 10r-15 Desert Duelers with raised white lettering. I currently have the style on my vehicle and am disappointed they don't do them anymore, as now my wheels will be mismatched with any future new tyres.
Does anybody know when and why they deleted this style and only kept the black walled ones instead?

Put the white lettering on the inside of the rim.

Hi Ozwasp,

They've done the same to Goodyear Wrangler MTs. don't know why - maybe it reduces costs of production.

Of course you know what no more white lettering on tyres means - we will now get more punctures - lol.

cheers

Obviously Bridgestone must be becoming more serious and have come to understand the boy racer lokatme lookatme market is not that good anymore.

Well done Bridgestone.... hopefully all others will follow.

My BF Goodrich tyres have white lettering but the white lettering was turned inwards. Perhaps Bob Jane tyre fitters took one look at me and the car and thought that " this guy is no boy racer".

Question:

If the tyres were to be rotated then the white lettering will show, yes?

What is the right sequence for Rotating the tyres?

1. Make them all go CW or CCW

Or

2. Swap the diagonal ones?

TIA,

Jerry

Perhaps I could find a car with perfectly good tyres like mine, mine having the old and clapped out tyres, park the two vehicles side by side and rotate the 8 wheels so that all his tyres appear on my car.

How about that?

doesn't matter how you rotate em' if the white is on the inside of the rim, that's where it stays .
