Hi

I have a 2003 LC turbo diesel ute ----it goes great but I am just wandering if anyone has put an intercooler on the 79 ute or even a d-tronic and a three inch exhaust.....does ot make much difference to the performane.....and are hiclone a waste of time on 1 HD -FTE motors.......the D-tronic sounds like a good idea i just cant find anyone who has put either of these on the lc 79 or 78 series 1 HD -FTE

cheers

Are the turbo diesel on the 79 ute the same as the 100 series? Computer controlled! I don't know if you can do much with them. However my 80 series (factory turbo) goes a lot better when I replaced the exhaust with a 2.5 inch pipe with no mufflers. I tried hiclones and they didn't do a thing they were supposed to do.

Yes they are the same except the intercooler has been deleted from the 79 series 0r 78 - becuase they reckon there is no room to put it!!!..which is bollocks I reckon you would be able to squeeze it in!!..

..Bloke I know says that hiclones are very good for turbo straight out of the factory coz they are set lean..they are putting in three now in the 1Hd -FTe motor..somebodies making some money!!

If they are set lean out of the factory (which I agrees with) how can they can they make more power with a hiclone as they are short of fuel not air. More air on a lean running diesel will not make any more power.

Hi Bill,

Don't much about Hi-Clone. However you could try Bi-tron. Check out the Bi-tron "Press Release".

E-mail me.

Brian 525 ------are your additives any good at all? If they are , people shoud be queing at your door to buy them! You are advertising with Explore Oz, surely this is enough to make your additives known to everyone involved, but you persist in making a sales pitch on this forum as well. This to me seems that your additives are not selling as well as they should --- maybe people do not want to buy them possibly for two reasons---
1. People may not think your additives are not a good buy.
2. People may not like getting a sales pitch from you on this forum.

Think on this . There is not much you can do about No.1 ---- but you can do something about No.2
