Hello all. I have just put a false floor in the back of my old hilux ute.up the front I have cut out a couple of compartments in the floor to store the not so often used stuff. So now I have compartments with lids that sit flush to the false floor. Does anyone have any tips on making simple handles so I can lift the lids out?, I'm after something recessed or that will sit as near to flush when not being used.
Thanks
Grant

Check Bunnings or the like. They have a selection of handles.

If you want to go cheap and easy use a hole saw to drill a hole and use this 30- 40 mm should be good.

X2! All flush handles I've seen need a recess routed out to make them sit flush. Hole saw works a treat or cut semi circular holes at the edge

I did the same and I have to agree. The cheapest and easiest is finger holes. That's what I have in my floor.

Why do you need handles, all the ones I have done I have drilled a 32mm hole in the removable panel so I could get my finger in to lift it it. People have a tendency to over engineer something that won't be any real benefit.
