Bridle Track - Alternative Routes

Hi everyone,
I am planning a trip to the bridle track next month. I went there a couple of years ago and I know that the track has been closed at Monaghan's Bluff.
We want to take an alternative route to the northern section of the bridle track. There's a track called Stuarts Access going off the Box Ridge Road and according to my map, it looks like it's leading to the bridle track. There are some gates, but I was hoping that you can open those and drive that road (just as the Box Hill Road)
Does anyone know more about this track or any other way to get to the northern section of the bridle track (so not via the Root Hog Fire track or Hill End)
