The Chief of Finances an I will be heading up from Innaminka to Birdsville in the next few weeks and we would like to visit Haddon Corner. My question is - is it possible to access the corner towing a camper as from the photos I've seen of the track it looks like it might be sandy

Cheers

Hi

I took my off road caravan in a couple of months ago without problems, though it may have deteriorated since, there is a couple of sand dunes at the end but nothing to dramatic for a 4wd and camper trailer.

The sand dunes are right at Haddon Corner.

If all else fails drive down to the corner and then dump trailer for last part.
Weather and traffic will determine if you can get your trailer in there. We took our trailers in and yes it was soft but not too much drama.

there's 2 tracks you can take to go over the sand dune at Haddon Corner, the first one is the steepest, so if in doubt head to the right at the junction and a few hundred metres away is a longer less steep track over the dune. i easily towed my camper over it back about mid July.

Patto - we went into Haddon cnr 3 weeks ago towing a 2.3t pop top off road van. No problems getting to the cnr even over the two sand dunes. We took the route over the first one from the right hand approach (less angle).
If approaching the turn off into Haddon from the north the sign was missing.
