Believe a Prado Towbar will fit the KZN185's but the cross brace at the rear is missing on the Surf's as compared to the Prado's. Result is that the Prado towbars will fit - but the rear mounting bolts will not be able to be fixed (no rear cross brace) - does anyone know what tow rating this would result in ?
Also anyone recommend a bar ?
Would also like a bar that does not take away too much of the departure angle.
Cheers, Beddo

I didn't think that genuine towbars on 90 series Prado's had mounting bolts that went in to the rear crossmember

I thought the only had three ?????? mounting bolts in to each chassis rail (one of which had to be drilled through the chassis

Could be wrong, it has been a while since i fitted one of these
