Cruiser 74

I would love to know how the pig opened the cans ?
If squashed by it's teeth a hell of a lot beer would have escaped.

Cheers

Having had some Euros eat the box containing the dozen bottles a friend had brought to my ex MIL & myself in the Flinders a few months ago, I am not surprised. I count myself lucky they didn't open & drink a couple of bottles.

As I emailed my ex MIL (in US) today - Aust is full of wine quaffing roos and beer swilling swine.

There used to be a pig at the Pub In The Paddock near Pyengana in Tassie that could down a stubbie in about 20 seconds. There were 44's full of empty stubbies near his pen.

"Main Roads officers are cautiously attempting to locate the pig, who was last seen asleep under a tree near the De Grey River."

Probably wandering around with a hang-over thinking "I don't remember eating that !!"

I don't know how many of you know of the Whim Creek Pub located on the NW Coastal Hwy in the Pilbara region of WA. The last time I went passed there about 6 months ago it was closed.
The first time I called in there was in the late 60's with my then boss of a company that had a workshop in Port Hedland. Just a young whipper snapper back then (;=)).
At that time there was a resident camel that had a taste for a can or 5 of beer. He was known for sticking his head in car windows and helping himself to whatever was in there including any beer cans or cartons left unguarded. Now as you may remember beer cans were made of steel not aluminium back then. This character would grab the can in his teeth, raise the can in the air and crush it thereby not wasting a lot. Many would throw him a can or 2 just to watch the show.
Unfortunately the grog got to him in the end and he would get quite cranky if he didn't get what he considered was his daily ration and became quite threatening of any pub patron that refused to share.
The last I heard was that he had been "removed" to somewhere to dry out...lol.

Cheers

Yummm! - Pork on the spit, pre-marinated in beer! Why didn't they feed it a bit of garlic as well, to top off the flavour!!
