We went to a local show yesterday and there was around 130 old motorbikes there.
All local bikes owned by local enthusiasts.
One of the locals had a bit of spare time and strapped an old Yanmar generator inside an old frame and went for a ride on
Lake Gairdner.
cheers
Dave

Hi Dave, I've a Honda EM500 dating from 1983. It still starts first pull when used regularly. Graham.

G`day Dave,
Happy birthday OLD CHAP.
Oh by the way, back onto topic.
My first ever generator was a 4 hp Briggs & Stratton motor driving a car alternator, belt driven, I used it as a basic battery charger, worked a treat, still got it in the shed somewhere.
Say g`day to Nora for me.
Scrubby.

G'day Dave. I have had my 2kv Honda Generator up to 105KPH in the boot of my van. Nah,probably doesn't count but it's fun doing it. Some people are so ingenious. Cheers,Bob.

Dave
Your post reminded me of Burt Munro who ride an Indian motor bike at Bonnyville in the US in 1967. The bike was 47 years old and he offically clocked a speed of 305km/h (190mph) which was a world recoed and it still stands today.

That same motor in marine form powered my 26 foot/ 5 tonne yacht for many many years, I replaced it with an 18 hp Yanmar oh what a glorious day that was hahahaha.
