Hi John,

I was there in a 2wd about 3 weeks ago - that's the road normally recommended for 2wd as there is more bitumen. Just watch the creek beds coming out of Copley across to Balcanoona - at the Copley end. The road through Wirrealpa is in good condition too (this is all dirt / gravel). The road crews were there until a few weeks ago & have done a great job. I'm back at Arkaroola for a week starting next weekend - will post if different.

Have a great trip.

The north Flinders can be pretty hard on tyres and the Rangie might have "exotics" on it? That would be my only concern with those two cars.

Hi John,

From Copley travel east to Arkaroola via Angepena - Nepabunna Mission - Balcanoona Station then north to Arkaroola.

From Arkaroola to Wilpena you can go south via Balcanoona Station - just west of Wertaloona Station. Keep driving south till you see the Blinman turnoff to the right and travel west via Wearing Gorge and on to Blinman.

The above roads are dirt but drive to the conditions and you will have no worries.
Look around for the wild flowers and the Desert Sturt Pea.

If you have the time stay and look around Blinman before heading south to Wilpena.
The road the south from Wilpena is all black stuff

Enjoy your trip P&J

John,

I forgot to mention once you leave Wearing Gorge you will go past Chambers Gorge on your left and then to Wirrealpa Station before going on to Blinman
