Just got back to
Brisbane from the Kimberleys. Went over via the Plenty in August,
Boulia to
Alice Springs. Road in good condition, especially compared to when we last travelled it 20 years ago. The first 50km or so out of
Boulia is now bitumen, so the stretches which used to be bulldust on the Georgina River are now covered. Some sections slightly stony, and some mild corrugations. Generally sat on 70 to 80 km/hr, sometimes 90 on the good bits. Triton 4wd ute towing a off road 4wd camper trailer. Left
Boulia at 8am, arrived
Gemtree at 4:45pm the same day. Photo is Qld/NT border. Similar most of the way. Graders were working between Harts Range and the western end of the bitumen.

Plenty at the qld/nt border
