Hi again.
I won't post on this subject again but I thought I'd ask if there are any
Adelaide contributors that might know of a dry (deep) sandy track that I could drive on to
check out my car's ability to tow the camper trailer in such conditions.
I don't want to go to
Robe or drive on a beach, but somewhere with public access and a dry sand track close to
Adelaide.
Thanks
George

Gday George,
At
Peake, (about 50k from
Tailem Bend towards Pinaroo) is a private property with a heap of sand. It's hired out to 4wd (and other) clubs most of the year at the weekends but is ideal for what you want. If you google it
(Click here) you'll get an idea of what it's like and you should find the contact number for the
Peake post office where you'll get the info.
Cheers
Phil

Gooday George : It might be hard to find what you want close to
Adelaide , and i know you said no beach but the
Goolwa beach would be a good testing ground on the right day . Theres always people down there on weekends to help if you got stuck .
Around
Mannum area and along the river you might find a dry creek bed but at present they might be still wet !!! anyway good luck with it
PS have you tried some of the 4wd clubs ?
