It is amazing so many companies are closing due to lack of sales yesterday a huge
home builder in SA down the tube
But i cannot understand the logic of coles here in
Broken Hill rather than go for cheaper option of building a new smaller store next to the old
IGA store they took over they are spending a small fortune building a brand new small shopping center.
Money is tight for many people and I still cannot understand the logic of doing this .
Broken hill is a small town just a tad under 20,000
population and huge
population of older people
many on pensions
there will be a number of specialty shops and such but I cannot see them making a lot of money
it is so sad there are so many small family businesses going under and then coles turns around and do this
I often wonder if things will improve or we end up with just multinational companies running every thing
thanks for that information

If the mad monk has his way, we'll end up as a huge bl**dy hole in the surface of the earth and the country will be owned (and run) by Gina and her cronies.

David there are minerals here but the situation is grim another 180 from CBH got put off several other projects are struggling to find backing
CBH are running a huge loss as
well and other companies here
yes there are minerals in the ground but it is getting too expensive to get that product out
