You will find that it is more cost effective to replace the roller complete with fabric rather than fabric only.

I just went through the exercise a few weeks ago having torn a hole in my fabric.

In my case my 14' (measured from c/l to c/l of the posts) was around $580 for fabric and $630 for complete roller.

The fitting time, important if you are paying an installer is much quicker with the complete assy, with the bonus of new gears & stuff in the new roller.

I'm not sure of fitting costs as I did mine through insurance.

Can't help you with suppliers there though, maybe talk to local caravan yards.

Cheers Neil

Brad Busteed, a well respected upholsterer and canvas man in Gladstone might be worth having a talk to. You would have to look up his number, it may be worth the cost of the phone call.

Damien,
Are the roadworks finished in Cardwell? Poor old shopkeepers on the beachfront said it had been hell since May.

Hi Bob,
Road works were completed about 4 weeks ago, just finishing off the waterfront. Jetty has just reopened. The shops did lose alot of business, some shut for a week or two while work was being done directly in front of them. Nowhere for people to pull up. We were there from mid June & it was a mess, just left for work in Killarney. I think they are having an opening day/carnival type thing on the 9th Nov on the foreshore.

Hey Damien,

Although we do not offer installation at this stage you may find ordering online and getting a local handy man to install could be the most cost effective option for you. A number of our customers in far North Qld cannot believe how much they saved by going this way.

We are always standing by on 1300 259 499 to assist or please visit us at http://www.caravanandrvworld.com.au

We're sure we can assist you with a new awning!

Cheers
