Hi,

I used to have a link to a site that had a downloadable fee list of camping sites across Australia state by state. I've lost it, does anyone know what it is??

Thanks

Ray, there are freely available maps of highways etc that show the free roadside stops with fireplaces, toilets, & water tanks.

Ray,

Your email server is blacklisting our system generated email because they contain a URL in them - This is why you are not getting these replies to your inbox. I suspect that you guys have recently adjusted Internet security policy howeve the new policy will not allow any emails that contain http:// in them. This wipes out just about everything. I could adjust the system to drop the http:// as most readers will still work this out as a URL however I would need to check on what the implications are across the entire site before undertaking such an adjustment.

If you are wondering why you are not getting responses then there you go the error reported at our end is:

Remote host said: 550 contains blacklisted regex (http://[^@ ]*@)Regards

Dave:
The guy at the Geocities address could be a contender for some advertising. I posted some info on this site a while ago to the Forum and he emailed *me* back asking if I would put a link to his site onto your site, and I directed him to you. When nothing appeared, I just assumed ( ... I know .. "an ass out of you and me" ....) he was not interested.
Good luck.

Emptied out all the junk , could not find what was wanted...closest thing to it was...outbackbound-campsites-victoria ...that was page 18 of 18 pages and even then it was only half a page with no web address on it , so it looks like I also have lost it...ah well will just give me some thing else to do...search for it...cheers

Hi All,

Thanks Bruce, looks like you've seen the site as well. It was great had a downloadable pdf file that had free camping spots state by state. Much the same as the book that's on sale. Have you found the site again??

I've had no luck.

Regards

No , Ray unfortunately I have not been able to locate the site as yet and it is a damned nuisance that I cannot...the dear wife just informed me the other day that next year about this time we are going to Kunnunarra to see our youngest son , the free camp sites listed would be probably very handy for that sort of trip...up through the centre to Darwin and then across there , down the west coast and back home to Vic...fair enough I told her ..but...we had better start saving big time NOW...when you are on a pension the money for that sort of trip is not readily in the pocket...cheers

Just been on the Westernbelle site , it looks like that was the site that had all of Oz listed..they now only have W,A. there for free download , the rest is on a cd for purchase...I suppose they have to eat as well as us and travelling is by no means cheap...cheers

No Ray , the part that I am really only interested in is from Vic to Darwin and then down the west coast , have friends at the bowls club that have all the spots to Darwin as they went a couple of years ago ...thanks heaps for the offer...will try and copy a few of the W.A. spots from the free site and know a few of the stops across the Nullabor...cheers
