Review: Gateway Caravan Park

A small gravel tent area is set aside near the BBQ area at the back of the park. Ablutions were clean and adequate with plenty of pressure and hot water. Very popular spot on a Saturday with many 'nullarbor crossers' breaking their journey here. Overall, a pleasant park to stay at. We struck luck as Acclaim parks were having a $20/n powered site special, no matter if it was a tent site or caravan site. The only downside was the entire amenities block (mens and womens ablutions as well as camp kitchen) was without power from at least 6am onwards, as people tried to make breakfast, boil kettle for morning coffee etc. Lights still worked though so probably just a tripped circuit breaker/blown fuse. A trip to the front office resulted in no joy as they don't open until 8:30am and we couldn't find a phone number for outside office hours. Grumpy maintenance person arrived at 9:15.
