Hi All,
Have just been advised by AAMI that they won't add Waeco Fridge & Open Sky Rooftop Tent to the vehicle policy.
Interested in your suggestions re alternatives pls
Thanks & Regards

It's called 'unsecured valuables' on your home insurance. List it out and give it to them to calc up an extra over.

Our hannibal roof top tent and two fridges are covered. The tent and one fridge is bolted to the car. Therefore they accept it as an accessory. The other fridge is covered by household contents.

I've had to get a "Camping Equipment" policy to cover the fridge and equipment stored in the tuck truck. Seems and expensive way to go about it but I considered it necessary.

Try TCIS brokers - 4x4 specialists. You may be able to get cover for the RTT.

Yes to TCIS. All my camping gear is insured with them too.

I did have a claim a few years ago when the Engel, GPS, Laptop and a few other things were taken after a break in when parked outside a motel room.

Absolutely no problem at all getting it sorted out. Great to deal with.
