Review: Moderation Policy

I would like a section or thread where we can freely chat about things not limited to 4WD and camping. Sometimes I am interested in following a topic that has drifted away from the main thread but am not allowed. So we drift off into the ether and not get back to that subject. What about being able to talk about hobbies and things that another member is interested in. I am a ham and model train enthusiast. It would be nice to link up with others similarly interested.
I would like to click the Discussion option but as it states, "posts to Forum", that would be against the rules because this subject is not about camping or 4wd. So I cannot even ask if anyone else feels the same.
So what say the small band of moderators seeing they are the only ones that I can ask within this facility.
Don't understand the rating so I am going to click average.
